Train in beautiful Central Park & BECOME THE STRONGEST VERSION OF YOU!


WHAT:

Train P3 Outdoor Group Sessions are athletic and dynamic, movement based, full body strength and conditioning classes.  Using primal bodyweight moves to help you increase endurance, lose body fat, become more athletic, explosive and nimble.  This is NOT a bootcamp.  You will have an intense workout, but learn skills and practice awareness and good form.

Currently we are offering two types of classes which complement each other:

 

FULL BODY:  (Saturdays)

Full body, movement and skill based strength and conditionig class.  We recommend this class to EVERYONE who passes our pre-requisites (check below).  You will learn new skills, move better, become stronger and more powerful while getting leaner.

CORE & CONDITIONING:  (Tuesdays)

Conditioning and core class is focused on sprints or hight intensity bursts of power moves and athletic and functional core movements.  This class will help you become more explosive, increase your endurance, develop a strong core and help you get leaner.

 

WHEN:

MAY – OCTOBER 2015:
SATURDAYS:  11 – 12:15 pm – FULL BODY 
TUESDAYS:  6 – 7:15pm – CORE & CONDITIONING (NEW CLASS)

WHERE:

Currently we are using two locations in Central Park:  Bandshell or the Bethesda Fountain.  Both located on 72nd street near the center of the park about 1-2 min walk from each other.   Our specific location is determined the morning of, depending on the park activity.  We usually try the Bandshell first and if there is a concert or an event, we walk down the stairs to the Bethesda Fountain.  Check the Train P3 facebook page the morning of to find out which location we have taken over.
Nearest Trains: (B, C) 72nd St. or (6) 77th or 68th St.


COST:

$25 First class (new clients only) – Use promo code: tryTP3!class
$45 – Drop in Class
$144 – 4 Classes (expire in 6 weeks)
$449 – 16 classes (expires in 7 months)

We offer $10 BUDDY PASS to members who have an active package of group sessions.  With a Buddy Pass you can bring a local resident friend to try their first Train P3 class for only $10


WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING:

Comfortable, weather appropriate and fun athletic clothes, water and a towel are highly recommended.  For everyone with healthy ankles and feet we suggest minimal shoes.  Some of our favorite are Vivo Barefoot and Feiyue Martial Arts Shoes, but any athletic shoe with flat sole and basic lateral support will work.  Gloves are helpful since we practice exercises on the ground.
Feel free to go shirtless and get some sun 🙂
We also suggest wearing sun screen and bringing snacks for after class.

WEATHER RELATED CANCELATIONS:

Class will be cancelled if there is lightning or severe rain. If we have a cancellation, anyone registered will receive an email 2 hours before the class. You can also check facebook page for updates.


PRE-REQUISITES:

To make sure you have the best experience in class, we suggest you get comfortable with the following skills before participating in our outdoor group sessions:

1. Maintain a deep knee bend or primal squat without pain.  If you recently had a knee surgery and cannot come down in a full squat, Train P3 group sessions may be difficult.
2. Hold a stable plank on your hands with good alignment; stable core and natural curve in your back.  If you are having intense wrist issues, you might need to skip some stations.
3. Stand and balance on one leg while smiling 🙂
4. Have enough coordination to perform full range walking lunges (frontback and side) without trouble.
If you have any major injuries, please reach out to us before class and we will let you know if we can work around it.
