Train P3 OUTDOOR GROUP SESSIONS:
May through October 2014!

Train in beautiful Central Park and BECOME THE STRONGEST VERSION OF YOU!


WHAT:

An athletic and dynamic group training session focused on full body conditioning.  Using primal bodyweight movements to help you increase endurance, lose body fat and become more athletic and nimble. This is NOT a bootcamp.  You will have an intense workout, learn skills and practice good form.

EVERY SIGN-UP EARNS A DONATION:

We are donating $1 of every registration for class to Room to Read foundation.  They focus on improving literacy and gender equality while improving economy in developing countries and addressing global poverty.  Room to Read’s programs build schools and libraries, print local-language books and boost local economy by using local resources as well as set up infrastructure to help long term success.  Click here for more info.

WHEN:

Every Saturday at 10:30 – 11:45 am (May – October 2014)

WHERE:

Currently we are using two locations in Central Park:  Bandshell or the Bethesda Fountain.  Both located on 72nd street near the center of the park about 1-2 min walk from each other.   Our specific location is determined the morning of, depending on the park activity. Check the Train P3 facebook page the morning of to find out which location we have taken over.
Nearest Trains: (B, C) 72nd St. or (6) 77th or 68th St.

COST:

$25 First class (new clients only) – Use promo code: tryTP3!class
$49 – Drop in Class
$157 for 4 Classes (expire in 6 weeks)
$489 for 16 classes (expires in 7 months)

We offer monthly $10 BUDDY PASS (bring a friend to try their first class for $10) to members or anyone who has an active package of group sessions.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING:

Comfortable, weather appropriate and fun athletic clothes, water and a towel are highly recommended.  For everyone with healthy ankles and feet we suggest minimal shoes.  Some of our favorite are Vivo Barefoot (use discount code: trainedbyben) and Feiyue Martial Arts Shoes, but any athletic shoe with flat sole and basic lateral support will work.  Gloves are helpful since we practice exercises on the ground.
Feel free to go shirtless and get some sun 🙂
We also suggest wearing sun screen and bringing snacks for after class.

WEATHER RELATED CANCELATIONS:

Class will be cancelled if there is lightning or severe rain. If we have a cancellation, anyone registered will receive an email before 9am the morning of class. You can also check  page for updates.

PRE-REQUISITES:

To make sure you have the best experience in class, we suggest you get comfortable with the following skills before participating in our outdoor group sessions:

1. Maintain a deep knee bend or primal squat without pain.  If you recently had a knee surgery and cannot come down in a full squat, Train P3 group sessions may be difficult.
2. Hold a stable plank on your hands with good alignment; stable core and natural curve in your back.  If you are having intense wrist issues, you might need to skip some stations.
3. Stand and balance on one leg while smiling 🙂
4. Have enough coordination to perform full range walking lunges (frontback and side) without trouble.
